Anne (Dewey) McCallion ’74
Anne McCallion graduated summa cum laude from Gannon with Bachelor of Science degree, in accounting and business administration having been the recipient of a full scholarship. She then earned an MBA from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
Ms. McCallion is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with 30 years of financial and executive management experience, specifically in the mortgage banking sector. Earlier in her career, Ms. McCallion was a member of the technical staff at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the organization that sets U.S. accounting standards. She also practiced as a CPA for Deloitte & Touche LLP and several local accounting firms in the Midwest.
She joined PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust and Private National Mortgage Acceptance Co. LLC in 2009, arriving from Bank of America following its acquisition of Countrywide Financial Corp., where she had previously held executive positions in finance, operations and administration. Currently, Ms. McCallion is chief financial officer of PennyMac, a group of specialty financial services firms based in Moorpark, Calif. She engages in investment in, management of and loan servicing activities for residential mortgage loans and related assets. In her role, she oversees financial and tax management, reporting, analysis and controls. A former chair of the financial management committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Ms. McCallion has worked closely with standards setters and regulators to lead the industry’s efforts to improve accounting standards.
She served as a member of Gannon’s Board of Trustees from 2002-05, and has served on the Board of Directors of both the Housing and Neighborhood Development Service (HANDS) and St. Joseph Apartments in Erie, PA.
Ms. McCallion is an avid traveler and a fitness enthusiast. She lives in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with her husband (and travel companion), Tim McCallion ’75, ’81M. They have two adult married sons; her most recent joy is her baby grandson, Alexander.
