Alumni Association gets new look!
The Gannon University Alumni Association has just become more visible, adopting an official logo and tagline.
The National Alumni Board, governing body of the Alumni Association, voted during the March 31, 2012 meeting to adopt a brand logo and a tagline of “Endless Possibilities,” patterned from the Gannon University brand logo and tagline of “Believe in the Possibilities.”
"As an alumni association, we felt that having a logo was an important step in establishing ourselves and our mission," says Jessica Nelson '04, '10M, an Erie regional director of the National Alumni Board. "Not only is it customary for university and college alumni associations to have their own logo," continues Nelson, "It's also a way to help our alumni specifically identify with their alumni community as well as to be recognized by the Gannon community as a whole."
The tagline of Endless Possibilities refers to the endless career and life possibilities that are available to, and manifested by, Gannon and Villa Maria graduates, while also referring to the plethora of ways in which alumni can network and be engaged with Gannon and one another (Want to get more involved with the Alumni Association? With the logo, the National Alumni Board hopes to increase the awareness and visibility of the Gannon University Alumni Association among alumni and at the Erie campus. So alumni, be watching for the new logo in Gannon publications and online. Make plans to return to the Gannon Alumni Homecoming Reunion Weekend October 23-25, 2012 to score some Gannon Alumni gear at registration and at the parade!
