How do I become a member of the Gannon University Alumni Association?

If you attended Gannon University, Gannon College, or Villa Maria College for at least one semester and are no longer a student of Gannon University, you're already a member of the Alumni Association. There are no dues or forms to fill out; all Gannon University alumni are automatically members. If you cannot find your name listed in the alumni directory, please contact the Alumni Services Office at email gannonalumni@gannon.edu or toll free phone 1-877-GU-Alums (1-877-482-5967) for verification and addition.

What is the Partners Program, and how do I participate?
The Alumni Parterns Program provides opportunities for alumni to make a difference in the lives of Gannon students and fellow alumni.  Check out the Partners web page to learn more about student recruitment, career services, alumni recognition, alumni events, homecoming/reunion weekend, GIVE Day, and supporting our students and how you can become involved.

How many Gannon and Villa Marie College alumni are there?
As of December 2008, there were over 31,000 alumni living in all 50 states and around the world. (Coming soon: Watch this site for a map of where our alumni/ae are located.)

How do I make a gift or donation?

When is Homecoming Reunion Weekend and what activities are planned?
The 2013 Alumni Homecoming Reunion Weekend is scheduled for October 4-6.  A great weekend is planned for you! Be sure to contact your friends to re-u-Knight at Gannon!

Where do I register or RSVP for alumni events?
Visit our Events page and sign up for the event you'd like to attend. If the event isn't listed or if you have any questions, contact the alumni office at 1-877-GU-Alums, ext. 1, or by email.

How do I become involved in alumni activities in my area?
We're always looking for volunteers to be involved in or lead activities in cities with large populations of Gannon and Villa alumni/ae. If you're interested in participating in activities in your area, review the list of regional directors listed on the Alumni Association page or contact Cathy Fresch, Director of Alumni Services, at 1-877-GU-Alums, ext. 2 or fresch001@gannon.edu.

How do I contact fellow alumni?
Gannon University and Villa Maria College alumni can use the Online Directory, a password-protected search engine listing information for thousands of alumni. The database is searchable by name, college, class year, and more. However, the directory does not provide information on alumni that aren't listed in the database or have requested that their information be withheld.

How do I submit a class note?
There are two ways to accomplish this; one, click on the class note header, log in, and submit your class note or two, log in to the directory and click class note located in the left hand column, and submit your note. Class notes are forwarded to the magazine editor along with being posted on-line.

What services does the office of Career Development and Employment Services and Center for Experiential Education offer alumni?
There are many opportunities offered at the Career Development website for alumni. Job listings, career counseling, and resume guidance are available. Alumni are also encouraged to contact the Career Development office to post any job or internship opportunities. For more information contact the Career Development office at 814.871.7680.

How do I get a copy of my transcript?  Is there a charge?
There is no fee to Transcripts, though no transcripts are released for students with any Financial Holds.  The Office of the Registrar requires the former student to submit a written request with signature to receive his or her transcript.  Electronic signatures are not acceptable.  You can write a letter or print out this application and mail to: Registrar's Office, 109 University Square, Erie, PA 16541 or fax to: 814-871-5870.

I think my degree data is incorrect; how do I change it?
We record degree information directly from the files maintained by our Registrar. Please contact us by calling 1-877-GU-Alums or gannonalumni@gannon.edu. We will verify the information with the Registrar and contact you with what we learn. 

Where is the Alumni Office?
We're on the third floor of Old Main, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or upon appointment. Alumni/ae are always welcome to stop by and visit.
