In 2006, an Erie alumni focus group proposed a lecture series to draw on the expertise, research, hobbies or other interesting and unique issues and projects of Gannon University faculty, staff and alumni. The Office of Alumni Services created an Alumni Lunchtime Lectures Series beginning with speaker Chris Dubbs, University Grants Writer, speaking on "Space Dogs, Pioneers of Space Travel" in September that year. Beginning in September 2008, these lectures were video-taped and uploaded to
Gannon's YouTube channel to share with alumni across the world. An Executive-On-Campus series was also created to welcome prominent business alumni back to campus to lecture in classes and speak with alumni, students, faculty and staff.
If there is a specific topic you'd like to see presented at a future alumni lecture, please contact Assistant Director of Alumni Services, Erin Sekerak '04 at
sekerak002@gannon.edu or 814-871-7784.
