G&G Challenge: Less Than a Month to Go!
With less than a month remaining, the G&G Challenge is at 82.2 percent of goal! If you have already made a gift, THANK YOU! If you haven't, there's still time to help us meet our goal: remember, If 1,350 gifts come in before June 30, 2012, Trustees Tom Guelcher ’62, ’76M and Jim Gehrlein ’72 will give Gannon $50,000. Alumni Association partners to provide Long-Term Care Planning
Learn how to protect your most important asset--your family--from the comfort of your own home. The Gannon University Alumni Association's Long-Term Care Education and Planning Program is continuing its efforts to build awareness on the need to plan for long-term and extended healthcare by offering informative webinars throughout the month of June. The webinars are scheduled at 7 p.m. (EDST) on four Wednesdays in June: June 6, 13, 20 and 27. More information >

Nominations for the Gannon Athletics Hall of Fame are now being accepted through Gannon’s athletics website. The deadline for the Class of 2013 nominations is July 31, 2012. Nominations will be accepted online throughout the year, but only nominations received before this date will be considered for the 2013 induction. Nomination form >

Mark your calendars for the following alumni and family events at Gannon:
  • July and August – Shakespeare Summer Nights: The Merchant of Venice (July 26 and 28, Aug. 3) and Othello (July 27, Aug. 2 and 4)
  • Sept. 13 – Taylor on Tour in Buffalo, N.Y.
  • Sept. 15 – Gannon’s Invitation to Volunteer Everywhere national alumni day of service
  • Oct. 19-21 – Alumni Homecoming & Reunion Weekend (coincides with student homecoming weekend)

Living Our Faith
Fresh off a tiring week of taking final examinations, giving presentations and writing papers, more than 20 Gannon students recently traveled to Vanceburg, Ky., and to Washington, DC, to focus on social justice and service. The students and their staff leaders made the trips in accordance with Gannon’s mission of service and volunteerism. Alumni, parents and friends of Gannon gathered in the Big Apple on May 22 to meet President Keith Taylor, Ph.D., and hear an update on the University. Dr. Taylor has visited seven cities across the country so far as part of his Taylor on Tour listening events. Have a question about Gannon for Dr. Taylor? Shakespeare Summer Nights returns to the great outdoors of AJ's Way on campus!  The plays are free and open to the public, bring your own lawn chair or blanket!  No RSVP is necessary.  All plays begin at 7 p.m.  In case of inclement weather, performances will be moved inside to the Schustre Theatre.  For more information on Shakespeare Summer Nights, visit the Schuster Theater Facebook page.
