Gannon alumni signing up for Erie's GIVE Day will be paired with student groups throughout the Our West Bayfront, working on both routine upkeep and transformative changes in the neighborhood. Alumni will be notified of their specific project on Tuesday, September 17, but should be prepared to work outdoors on projects that are somewhat physically demanding. If you would like to participate but have any physical restrictions, email us for appropriate placement.

Alumni are also welcome to join us for the GIVE Day rally, starting at 8:00 a.m. in the Hammermill Center.

Downtown Daily Bread

Location:  Downtown Daily Bread, Boyd Memorial Building, 234 South Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101  
Downtown Daily Bread is an Emergency Kitchen that provides a nourishing, hot meal for the poor and homeless of downtown Harrisburg. This is done at no cost to the recipient. Volunteers will serve lunch and assist in cleanup.  Casual, comfortable clothing is recommended.  Parking is available at the South Street Parking Garage, which is directly beside the Boyd Building on South Street.  In addition, metered street parking is available on State Street and the surrounding areas.

Loyola Beach

Event Information: Join us on International Coastal Cleanup Day to clean up Loyola Beach and help keep our lake free of plastic pollution! Gloves and bags will be provided. Rain or shine, so please dress for the weather! 
Meetup Location: Meet Up behind the concessions building, just south of the playground near the Lunt Street parking lot.

Riverside Park
DATE: Saturday, September 14th  
TIME: 10:00am – 1:00pm
ATTIRE: Dress comfortably and be prepared to get dirty! Best to remove jewelry, wear hair tied back, closed toe work shoes required. Do not bring additional bags, as there is really no place to store belongings.
MEETING LOCATION: 120th St entrance to Riverside Park
ADDRESS: Take the #1 train to 116th St and walk north four blocks to 120th St. Turn left and walk two blocks to Riverside Drive. Cross Riverside Drive and turn right to walk north into the park. You will find our tent ahead of you!
ACTIVITY: Volunteers will be removing trash from the newly uncovered areas in the Bird Sanctuary.
