Occupational therapy

Christine graduated from Gannon University in 2014 with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. While attending Gannon she was involved in several clubs and organizations. She was a member of Phi Sigma Sigma, the Order of Omega, Phi Theta Epsilon and Phi Eta Sigma while also serving on the Panhellenic Council, which is the governing body of the five social sororities at Gannon University. Christine was also an active member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA), a member of the Gannon Concert Band and participated in the Preview GU event. She was a deserving recipient of the Leadership Scholarship and the Schuster Music Scholarship.

Her favorite memories involved the start of each new school year as she loved the buzz and excitement of returning to campus after summer break. Being involved in several different organizations and activities provided valuable leadership and communication skills that she uses daily in her career field.

Christine currently works as an Occupational Therapist and Driver Rehabilitation Specialist at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio and Delaware, Ohio. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association as well as the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. The experience that she gained while attending Gannon University has given her a skillset that helps her accomplish her personal and career goals.

Christine lives in Columbus, Ohio and spends her free time with friends and family.  She loves the outdoors and tries to get outside whenever she can. She prides herself on bringing the outdoors in with an herb garden that she successfully maintains. Christine also remains active by running and boxing regularly and is working on improving her half-marathon time.

She has a wealth of advice to offer current and prospective OT students: “Embrace your zest for life and seek out knowledge to enhance your Gannon experience. Don't be afraid to try (and fail at) new things; approach new people with an open mind and an open heart. Throw yourself outside of your comfort zone and enjoy the ride!”
